3DOC, You Rock!
The Clear 3D Organizer Cube from Tom Bihn made its way to my doorstep a little over a month ago. It came just in time for a little traveling that I had to do and, I have to say, is every bit as nice as every other product that I’ve had the pleasure of using from Tom Bihn.

Outside
To start, the 3DOC that I chose was Sangria Cerylon. What a fantastically rich and arresting colorway that makes one want to pick it up and inspect it a little closer. And while you’re holding it, note the almost indescribable feeling of the urethane material used for the transparent side panels!

The first thought that came to mind when I felt the panels was that they were almost like skin. This is definitely not your run-of-the-mill transparent urethane. The softness of those panels is a little deceiving. They can easily stand up to the type of handling one associates with travel: grabbing, pulling, opening, closing, stuffing, bouncing, and being given a real once-over by various inspectors along the way.
Clip a wrist or shoulder strap to the O-rings on either side for even easier carrying. That Tom Bihn thinks of everything!
Inside
That said, opening the 3DOC isn’t crazy revealing, considering it’s transparency. What you see before you open it is what you’ll get. It features a hanger on the inside that allows one to hang it up to use it as a spiff kit while on the go. It’s a nice detail that makers of other 3-1-1 solutions tend to overlook. Maybe it needs a nickname. How about the Spiff Kit Mini.

Use Case
Being received as a travel accessory by most, the 3DOC does its job well. Its 3-1-1 TSA compliant design and strength of materials gives a sense of security that:
- this organizer cube is going to hold up for a long time and
- the people who need to see what’s inside can see what’s inside without necessarily having to open it.
But the 3DOC isn’t just for travel. It can be used in all kinds of use cases, from EDC applications to holding art supplies and anything else one can think of.

Conclusion
The construction of the 3DOC is undeniably Tom Bihn: high quality materials, high quality craftsmanship, high quality performance with the same thoughtfulness of design that has kept Tom Bihn fans coming back time and again for decades.
We love it!
How I Got This Item for Review
I purchased this item myself. Tom Bihn did not supply it to me for review. The opinions in this review are my own and would not be swayed one way or another if I had been given a review unit by Tom Bihn.
